Due to the very hot, dry temperatures, the City of Healdsburg has opened a cooling center at the Healdsburg Senior Center, 133 Matheson Street, on Tuesday, September 24, and Wednesday, September 25, from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on both days.
The cooling center has water, charging stations for electronics, and informal children’s activities. We also recommend that community members bring a book, cards, or other activities to keep entertained.
Pet owners: The cooling center will have a designated pet area for small animals (dog, cat, bird, etc.). Animals that are well behaved, in a carrier or on a leash no longer than six feet, and are under the owner’s control at all times are welcome.
